Description: Elena appears to be a normal, attractive, twenty-something - steady job, live-in boyfriend, her life is perfect. But Elena has a secret that may cause her carefully constructed life to fall apart: Elena is a werewolf. And when her Pack calls her back for a supernatural emergency, Elena must face her past in the form of several werewolves who used to be all she knew of family, including the werewolf who stole her humanity, her ex-lover Clay. She and the Pack must deal with the threat of exposure in the form of several mutts (non-Pack werewolves) who are murdering humans, a definite werewolf no-no. And in the meantime, Elena has a choice to make. She can go back to her life as an ordinary human (and her boyfriend) or she can embrace the wolf within her and stay with the Pack and Clay.
Review: "Bitten" is a little darker than the books I usually read, and at first I was a little reluctant about it. I didn't really start getting into the book until Elena went back to visit the Pack. But once I got used to the style, I couldn't put it down. This book is darkly sensual, and, while it is just as angst-ridden as the typical horror, the angst seems more real, somehow (I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing). The premise is interesting, but the plot could've used a little more excitement. Overall, however, "Bitten" is definitely worth the read.
You should stick with this series. It's one of the better paranormal romance series out there.
